I thought camping without the right gear was a crazy idea. But I've found that, over the years the less concerned I am about making sure that essential camping gear was ready to go. In fact, as I've gotten older, my mind has moved away from the gear and more on the experience itself. I guess this is sort of a zen statement. But, it is more and more just about getting away. It is just being out in the woods, and not as much about what I bring with me You're probably saying, no kidding. But the camping gear is cool, so it's easy to sucked into this and that and all the trips to the store. Just get out there. Enjoy it.
